Travel to the Gold Coast

It has been an intense week. I left Auckland for Australia's Gold Coast on Sunday night. Since that time I have been inundated with work from my ongoing contract with Scriptfert Australia and the other projects I am currently working on for adult education (which isn't up yet otherwise I'd link to it). Nevertheless I've managed to get in nine holes of golf on Monday and eighteen this morning.

The weather here is immaculate. It was 20 degress celcius when I arrived at about 7pm on Sunday night. Monday there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Yesterday, Tuesday was a bit cold but alright since I was inside most of the day shifting the hosting of my NZ company's website and working on a new database besides meetings. Today, Wednesday July 15, 2009 was most notable though. There was hardly a cloud in the sky and a beautiful sea breeze rolled in off the ocean. It was the absolute ideal of what I would expect for the Gold Coast which I find to be far too hot in summer if you have to work. It's fine for lazing around on the beach but if you actually have to go anywhere without airconditioning or a pool it can be rather uncomfortable.

I have one week left for my trip to Australia this time and when I return I will be straight in to attending at the World Internet Summit. This Internet Marketing event is one that I am a bit sceptical about as there seems to be a push for the speakers to sell their courses however that isn't really why I'm going. My intention is to meet as many new positive people as I can while absorbing what I can from the speakers and perhaps even meeting a few of them. I realise to that a technical knowledge of the internet doesn't do any good when you're trying to pick a market and the combined experience of selling products on the internet should be more than worth it. I'll let you know how I get on.
